Why We Pray

Talking to God through prayer is both a privilege and a responsibility

Prayer is a conversation with the Living God. As children of God we have been granted the privilege of coming boldly into His presence at any time. We pray in order to make requests of our Heavenly Father. We pray in order to thank Him for His goodness to us. We pray in order bring other people and their needs before Him. We pray in order to align our hearts with God’s heart. When we do that our prayers become powerful and effective. We pray then, in order to be a part of what God is doing.

We also believe prayer is a responsibility, because God calls us to pray for all things - especially to intercede for others. Since prayer is a privilege and a responsibility, we are committed to praying for our church, our community, and our nation. We are especially committed to praying for individual needs

You are invited to share your prayer requests with us using the Prayer Request form on this site. Requests submitted through this form are distributed to church members who are committed to praying for others.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…”
